Evidence on Cervical Exams
Hosted by Evidence Based Birth
This topic is important because the majority of expecting parents are offered a vaginal exam towards the end of their pregnancy to check the cervix, and sometimes a membrane sweep is performed during the same exam.
Attend this webinar in order to...
Understand the Research: Learn about the Evidence on Prenatal Vaginal Exams, the Evidence on Membrane Sweeping, and how to ensure you receive informed consent and advocate for your preferences.
Weigh the Options: Explore the benefits and drawbacks of both prenatal cervical checks and membrane sweeps.
Consider Alternatives: Discuss other options for those who want to avoid cervical checks in late pregnancy.
Bonus Advocacy Session: Participate in a role-play exercise designed to help you confidently handle situations if a health care worker suggests you don’t have a choice.

Postpartum Hack: Cultivating Happiness
Hosted by 4th Trimester Arizona
For the October Gathering, we're talking about something that's actually being studied right now at ASU... Parental happiness. What, exactly, is happiness? Can it be measured? What has been found to lead to happiness for parents, and how can we cultivate that in our own lives? We'll look at these questions and more! Plus, feel free to join our live Zoom room, to ask your own questions!
Whether you are a professional serving parents, or a pregnant person or postpartum person interested in getting accurate information to support yourself & your family, this is a topic you don't want to miss. We hope to see you there! There will be opportunities for Q & A, as well, so please join us on Zoom!
It takes a Village to raise a child... let's do this, together!
